Carneros has the potential to be a top-five property on my Napa & Sonoma list — it's a beloved classic that's ready for its next chapter.

The grounds are sprawling and beautiful, every cottage has private outdoor space, and I actually prefer the location to Stanly Ranch — it feels much more like wine country.

With a refresh, I honestly think this property moves several spots higher on my list. In the meantime, book it for what it does beautifully: space, privacy, and that unmistakable wine country feel.

The details that made the list

It feels like wine country. I prefer this location to Stanly Ranch — the vineyard-and-barn landscape is the real thing.

Every cottage has private outdoor space. The layout is built for slow mornings on your own patio.
