Contemporary
Two room options
Brand-new and design-forward — the lake's freshest opening and a clean counterpoint to its grande dames.
Brand-new and design-forward, the EDITION is the lake's freshest opening — a clean, contemporary alternative to the classic grande dames, and genuinely strong value for the address.
My take: A smart choice if you love modern hotels and want more of your budget going toward experiences on the lake. I've shown both a garden-facing Superior and a direct Lake View room so you can weigh the view against the price — and note there's one suite available at roughly $4,500/night if you want to go bigger.

Modern Luxury
Two room options
The most modern luxury address on the lake — sleek architecture, floor-to-ceiling glass, and a design-lover's sensibility.
The lake's most modern luxury stay — sleek architecture, floor-to-ceiling glass opening straight to the water, and interiors for design lovers.
My take: Two ways in here. The Garden Lake View Suite is the larger room (~860 sqft) and is 15% off right now — it does see the lake, just not head-on. The Grand Suite Lago trades a little size for a private terrace and a direct, front-and-center lake view. If the view is everything, go Grand Suite; if space and value matter more, the Garden suite is hard to beat.
Good to know All rates include preferred-partner perks. The 15% Garden Lake View offer is subject to availability at booking.
Classic Grandeur
Junior Suite · upgrade available
A historic villa with terraced gardens tumbling to the water, and the service you'd expect from the brand.
Set in a beautifully restored villa with gardens terracing down to the lake, the Mandarin pairs a storybook setting with the polished, anticipatory service the brand is known for.
My take: A property I've long wanted to book. Base rooms are scarce, so this Junior Suite is the natural entry point — and the Duplex Suite upgrade (roughly double the size) is well worth considering if you'd like more room to spread out.
Good to know All rates include preferred-partner perks. Base rooms are limited; suite availability is confirmed at booking.
The Pinnacle
Junior Suite Al Lago
Recently named the world's best hotel — an 18th-century villa run like a private home, with only a handful of suites.
Recently crowned the world's best hotel, Passalacqua is Lake Como at its most exclusive — an 18th-century villa run like a private residence, with only a handful of suites and staff who remember your name.
My take: The Junior Suite Al Lago opens right toward the water. This is the one you book for a milestone — a honeymoon, an anniversary, a once-in-a-lifetime trip. Worth every euro if the moment calls for it.
Good to know All rates include preferred-partner perks. Passalacqua is small and books far ahead; the sooner we hold dates, the better.
