Athens deserves two full days minimum — don’t treat the Riviera as a layover. These two aren’t mutually exclusive either: I book them together as a full Riviera stretch before the islands. At Astir, the Sea View Bungalow Suite is the room I’d book; rates start around $1,300 a night through me.
