How I’d spend them

01Arrive. An afternoon at your hotel, then Naousa as the sun drops — the boutiques, the harbor, and a long dinner at Siparos while the waterfront comes alive.

02Discover. Lefkes in the morning, lunch at To Balconi tou Aki in Aliki, an afternoon swim at Lageri, and dinner back in Lefkes at Santa Pacou. Don’t miss sunset on the marble streets.

03Unwind. A slow morning, the day at Crios Beach Club, and a last dinner at Parostia at Cosme — one of my favorite restaurants on the island.

Paros’ greatest strength is its scale: compact enough that a lazy beach day never feels like missing out. Slow down and let it unfold.

Getting there

The ferry rules that save trips

Rule 1: Never book the last ferry of the day. If it’s cancelled, you’ve lost a night.
Rule 2: Fast ferries cancel in wind; slow ones usually don’t. In shoulder season, take the slow boat.
Rule 3: Don’t fly home the same day you sail. Give yourself a night in Athens.
Skip it all: A private boat between islands, or a helicopter direct — the thing I’m asked to arrange most. It turns a lost travel day into a morning.
