5 Restaurants — A Fun Hotel With Lots To Explore · 80 Rooms, Reworked For More Suites
Just a fun hotel. Book a lake-view junior suite, spend your afternoons at the garden pool, and know you’ll be sharing it with a crowd.
Walking into Grand Hotel Tremezzo was like stepping into a Wes Anderson movie. The valets were fun and helpful, and I felt welcome the moment I arrived. It’s a 1910 Art Nouveau landmark in the middle of the lake, looking straight across at Bellagio, and it’s run by the De Santis family, who also opened Passalacqua.
The rooms are similar in style to Passalacqua, but the biggest selling point for me is the tiered gardens behind the hotel. They’re stunning, and the pool up there is my favorite on the property. With five restaurants, lots of different concepts and a beautiful clay court, it’s simply a fun hotel, with plenty to explore.
It’s also sceney. Not in an opulent way like Villa d’Este or Villa Serbelloni, but in an influencer, everyone-taking-photos way. Outside guests are welcome, and they come in droves. That’s the trade-off for the energy, and it’s worth knowing before you book.

Work with me and you get two things: Fora perks, and someone who knows Grand Hotel Tremezzo personally. As a Fora advisor, my clients typically receive a space-available upgrade, daily breakfast, and a hotel credit. I know the property and the team, so I personalize your stay, from the room I request to what’s arranged before you arrive, and I’m your direct line to them while you’re there. Rates are identical to booking direct.
Grand Hotel Tremezzo is a fun hotel in the best spot on the lake. Let me find you the right lake-view room, time it to the right season, and arrange the boat from Como.
