Head-to-head · Rome
Both are for travelers who want energy. One gets it from a warm team in a real neighborhood by the Pantheon; the other from marble, mosaics and more bars than I could count. Here is how I would choose.
Stayed at La Minerva · Visited the Bulgari · October 2026
The warmest shared spaces and the friendliest team I found in Rome, by the Pantheon, in a hotel where I felt I could be myself.
My La Minerva review →
Very large base rooms, marble and mosaics, a rooftop bar, a trattoria with €18 pastas and the biggest gym I saw in Rome.

Work with me and you get Fora perks, plus someone who knows these hotels personally and personalizes your stay: I tell you when a Bulgari upgrade is worth it, set up La Minerva’s Signature Suite extras, and arrange your transfers. Same rate as booking direct.
La Minerva and the Bulgari both suit travelers who want energy. They get it in different ways.
At La Minerva, it is the people. The team is the warmest I met in Rome, the bar and lobby downstairs have a real buzz, and you step out into a real Roman neighborhood by the Pantheon.
At the Bulgari, it is the hotel itself: very modern and lively, with base rooms the size of junior suites and more places to eat and drink than I could count. If a big room matters, pick the Bulgari. If personality and a neighborhood matter more, pick La Minerva.

The base rooms at the Bulgari are what other hotels would call deluxe rooms or even junior suites, so the entry rate already buys real space. Because the base category is so generous, you often do not need to upgrade.
At La Minerva, the highlight of my stay was the shared spaces: the restaurant upstairs, the bar downstairs and the lobby. If a big room is high on your list, the Bulgari is the one to book.

Honestly, I am not even sure how many places there are to eat and drink at the Bulgari. There is a beautiful rooftop bar and pizza restaurant, another bar below it, and a classic Roman trattoria downstairs with affordable dishes like €18 pastas. I loved that.
At La Minerva, the rooftop restaurant is where I would spend the evening, looking over the domes of the centro storico, and the bar downstairs is a shared space you actually want to sit in.

La Minerva is relaxed. I felt like I could be myself there, and I shared a great laugh with the woman who checked me in.
The Bulgari is lively too, almost like an EDITION but much more sophisticated, with lots of marble and incredible mosaics in the bathrooms. It is spectacular.

The Bulgari has the biggest gym I saw in Rome, massive and with serious equipment, plus a spa.
At La Minerva, the extras come through me: daily breakfast for two, a $100 USD hotel credit, an upgrade on arrival and a VIP welcome, and Signature Suite bookings can include a 50-minute massage for two. It is also where I put clients before La Dolce Vita.
It depends on the trip. La Minerva for warmth, personality and a real neighborhood by the Pantheon. The Bulgari for space, a lively scene and great dining without leaving the hotel.
The Bulgari. Its base rooms are the size of junior suites at a lot of hotels.
La Minerva, for the warmest shared spaces and the friendliest team I met in Rome. The Bulgari is lively but more polished.
The Bulgari, with the biggest gym I saw in Rome, plus a spa.
The Bulgari has more places to eat and drink than I could count, including a trattoria with €18 pastas. At La Minerva, the rooftop restaurant is where I would spend the evening, and you are by the Pantheon with Rome on your doorstep.
Tell me your dates and who is coming, and I will tell you which one fits and which room to ask for.
