Really cool, and right in the middle of it.

Le Sirenuse is a really cool, lively property in the middle of Positano. That is either a selling point or a sore point, depending on who you are and what you are looking for.

Service is very formal, and you come to Le Sirenuse to see and be seen. The artwork around the property is stunning, and the lookout over the church dome is truly stunning. And the breakfast is incredible. Out of this world.

I would only stay in a true sea-view room or suite here. The rest either have courtyard views, or the pool view is right on top of the pool, and it is loud.

There is a new beach club, with complimentary boats there at 10:30 and 12:30. The hotel also runs a sunset cruise, but it needs to be booked in advance. I learned this the hard way.

If you want privacy, go for Il San Pietro or Villa Treville. If you want to be able to walk into town, which is busy, pick Le Sirenuse. It is very easy to get into town from the other two, so being outside it is not really a minus. It is more of a plus: you get more privacy and quiet.

01: The location. Right in the middle of Positano. Walk out the door and you are in town.
02: The breakfast. Incredible. Out of this world.
03: The new beach club. With complimentary boats there at 10:30 and 12:30.
04: The art, and the dome. The artwork around the property is stunning, and the lookout over the church dome is truly stunning.

Know before you book

The fine print, from your advisor

01: Only book a true sea-view room or suite. The rest either look onto the courtyard, or have pool views right on top of the pool, which is loud.
02: Book the sunset cruise in advance. It does not work as a same-day ask. I learned this the hard way, so I set it up before you arrive.
03: Lively is the point. Positano is busy and Le Sirenuse is in the thick of it. That is a selling point or a sore point depending on who you are.
04: Want privacy? Look at Il San Pietro or Villa Treville. Il San Pietro and Villa Treville are just outside town, and getting in is very easy, so you get the quiet without losing Positano.
05: Transfers and helicopters, arranged. I arrange the private transfer from Naples or Salerno. The nearest helipad is in Scala, close to Ravello. Reach out and I will handle it.
06: Book far ahead. The sea-view rooms and suites go first, often close to a year out for peak weeks.
