Villa Treville

The Most Private Rooms In Positano · No Two Alike · Three Boats

For me, this is the best option in Positano alongside Il San Pietro, and maybe slightly better value.

The review

So unique, and so private.

Villa Treville has probably the most private rooms in all of Positano. It feels like a private estate on the cliffs, not a hotel, and that is exactly the point.

Every room is very different, not just a little different. So talk to me about your style preferences and I will get you into the right room. The artwork around the villas is so cool and eclectic, but it really works.

Service was fantastic and warm, and the team is just outstanding. Their suite with the outdoor tub and shower is a standout, along with one of the coolest showers I have ever seen: a rain shower falling from an old brick dome.

What stood out

Why I’d book it

01
Privacy. Probably the most private rooms in Positano.
02
No two rooms alike. Every room is completely different, so the right match matters. I do the matching.
03
The suite with the outdoor tub and shower. One of the most unique rooms I saw on the coast, with one of the coolest showers I have ever seen.
04
Three boats. Three stunning boats, and free shuttles into Positano.
05
The beach club. Fantastic, and right on the water.
06
The team. Warm, fantastic service from people who clearly love the place.
07
A spa and gym with a view. Treatments in an iron-and-glass garden pavilion that opens to the sea, and a gym that looks straight out over the water.
Know before you book

The fine print, from your advisor

01
Pick the room, not just the category. Because every room is so different, tell me your style and I will match you. Two rooms in the same category can feel completely different.
02
You are outside the town. That is the privacy. The free boat shuttles make Positano easy, and you come home to quiet.
03
It is small. Summer books up early, so 2027 is the time to plan.
04
Pair it with Il San Pietro or Le Sirenuse. If you want one night in town for the scene, I can split the stay.
05
Arrive by boat. A boat transfer from Naples or Salerno is practical and enjoyable here. The nearest helipad is in Scala, close to Ravello. Reach out and I will handle it.
Before you ask

The questions I get

Is Villa Treville in the center of Positano?

No. It sits on the cliffs just outside the town, which is a big part of why it feels so private. The hotel runs free boat shuttles into Positano on its own boats.

Which room should I book at Villa Treville?

It depends on your style, because every room is very different, not just a little different. Tell me what you like and I will match you to the right one. The suite with the outdoor tub and shower is a standout.

Does Villa Treville have a beach?

Yes, a beach club on the rocks at the water's edge, with loungers right over the sea.

Does Villa Treville have a spa and gym?

Yes. The spa is in an iron-and-glass garden pavilion that opens to the sea, and the gym looks straight out over the water.

Villa Treville or Il San Pietro?

For me they are the two best options in Positano. Il San Pietro is the classic; Villa Treville is more private, more eclectic, and maybe slightly better value.

Is Villa Treville good for a honeymoon?

Yes. The privacy, the suites and the boats make it one of the most romantic places to stay on the Amalfi Coast.
